Teenage dirt bike rider airlifted after fall

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a teenage dirt bike rider who came off his bike at a motocross facility at Glamorgan Vale.

The boy was attempting a jump when he lost control and crashed some time before 10.30am today.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter from Toowoomba's Clive Berghofer CareFlight Centre flew to the property.

Its Critical Care Doctor and Flight Intensive Care Paramedic treated the boy for injuries to his chest and arms.

He was flown to the Mater Children's Hospital in a stable condition.

One third of all missions flown by RACQ CareFlight Rescue are missions requiring swift specialist attention.
