Speedway crash victim airlifted

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has airlifted a man injured after his vehicle rolled at the Kingaroy Speedway on Saturday evening.

The 25-year-old Central Queensland man suffered suspected spinal injuries and was initially taken to Kingaroy Hospital.

Shortly after 9.30am today, the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter from Toowoomba’s Clive Berghoffer CareFlight Centre was tasked to transfer him to Toowoomba Base Hospital.

He travelled in a stable condition.

One in ten of all RACQ CareFlight Rescue missions are to treat and airlift patients seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents.
