Single vehicle rollover, Bruce Highway

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has landed on the Bruce Highway near Beerwah where a ute with a trailer carrying a car crashed and rolled this afternoon.

The driver lost control of the southbound travelling vehicle shortly before 2pm today.

It veered off the road and came to rest driver’s side down in an embankment, trapping the male driver aged in his 50s.

The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed at the scene where emergency services worked to free the man from the wreckage.

He was assessed by the helicopter’s flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic and determined to have minor injuries.

He was taken to Nambour General Hospital by road ambulance for further observation.

He was in a stable condition.

A female passenger also travelling in the vehicle escaped the crash uninjured.
