Rider airlifted after crash, Imbil

RACQ CareFlight Rescue flew to the aid of an injured quad bike rider at an Imbil property yesterday (Thursday) evening.

The man, aged in his forties, lost control of the bike causing it to crash and roll at around 5pm.

The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to the scene where its Critical Care Doctor and Flight Intensive Care Paramedic treated the man for suspected spinal injuries.

He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Last week, CareFlight airlifted three people injured in quad bike incidents across South East Queensland.
