Man injured in Bruce Hwy crash after near-miss with kangaroo
A man has sustained injuries in a single vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway this morning after swerving to avoid colliding with a kangaroo.
The man in his 70s suffered suspected head and arm injuries in the accident, which happened five kilometres north of Maryborough.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter service was urgently called in from the Clive Berghofer CareFlight Centre in Toowoomba around 8.50am to retrieve the patient from Maryborough Hospital.
He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
