Man hospitalised after truck rollover on Cunningham Highway

A man has sustained suspected leg injuries after his truck rolled on the Cunningham Highway this morning.

The accident occurred 30 kilometres north west of Goondiwindi.

The man, who is aged in his fifties, was entrapped in his truck for almost two hours before emergency services could extricate him from the wreckage.

He was transported by QAS road ambulance to Goondiwindi Hospital.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Gold Coast helicopter then airlifted the man to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

On average RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopters fly to the aid of at least three Queensland residents every day.

Four patients have already been airlifted by crews today, including an injured quad bike rider, who was flown to hospital from a rural property near Biggenden.
