Man airlifted after watercraft incident

RACQ CareFlight’s Bundaberg crew was tasked to Boondooma Dam, 20 km’s west of Proston, on Monday afternoon where a male in his late-40 had been knocked unconscious, landing heavily in the water after being towed behind a boat.

He was brought to shore where emergency crews were called.

The QAS road transported the patient to the Prostone Showgrounds where they met the rescue helicopter. The patient from the Sunshine Coast suffered a head injuries and was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
