Man airlifted after trucks collide

A man in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after a truck and b-double crashed on the Bruce Highway north of Gin Gin early this morning.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the scene 15 kilometres north of Gin Gin at 1.30am.

Emergency services worked for two hours to free the man from the truck.

CareFlight airlifted him to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious condition with multi-trauma injuries.

One in ten of all RACQ CareFlight Rescue missions are to treat and airlift patients seriously injured in road accidents.
