Man airlifted after single vehicle rollover in Gatton

The Toowoomba RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was called to Gatton this morning for a 49 year old man injured in a single vehicle rollover on Tenthill Creek Road.

Emergency crews worked for approximately 30 minutes to free the man from the vehicle, which rolled off the side of the road.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle sustained suspected injuries to the chest, abdomen and wrist and was treated at the scene by CareFlight’s doctor and intensive care flight paramedic.

He was airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.

One in 10 of all RACQ CareFlight Rescue missions are to treat and airlift patients seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents.
