Man airlifted after motorcycle crash, Conondale

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a man in his 60s who was injured in a motorcycle crash at Conondale this morning.

The Brisbane man was travelling along Aherns Road when he lost control of the bike near a bend.

He veered off the road, down an embankment and over a fence.

He phoned Triple Zero himself and directed emergency services to a bordering property where he came to rest.

The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter’s flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the man for chest injuries.

He was flown to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
