The rescue helicopter landed on a field adjacent to the incident where a male in his twenties from Brisbane had been on a social motorcycle ride with about 20 other motorcyclists when he failed to negotiate a corner and fell off.

He was treated by QAS and the rescue helicopter’s medical team for a possible neck injury. He was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
