Injured rider airlifted from Beerburrum State Forest
An injured motorbike rider has been airlifted from Beerburrum State Forest by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter service.
The 31-year-old Ipswich man was riding along a dirt track through dense bushland when he lost control and came off his motorbike.
He sustained multiple suspected fractures in the accident.
The Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was dispatched from the Maroochydore base at 10am.
The patient was assessed and treated by the medical team on board CareFlight’s helicopter before being flown to Nambour General Hospital.
He was airlifted in a stable condition.
