Dalby man airlifted after dirt bike crash

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of an injured dirt bike rider following a crash at a private property north of the Bunya Mountains.

The incident occurred when the 41-year-old Dalby man lost control of his bike late this afternoon.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter from Toowoomba’s Clive Berghoffer CareFlight Centre flew to the property where its flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the man for chest and possible spinal injuries.

He was airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition, accompanied by his wife.

It is the second dirt bike crash the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has responded to today.

Shortly before midday, a 23-year-old man was airlifted following a crash at Motocross Mountain.

The rider suffered leg and possible spinal injuries and was flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
