Child airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital

A young girl has been injured at a school in the North Burnett region and airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter service.

The child sustained a suspected spinal injury after falling off a chair and hitting her head on a desk.

The Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Eidsvold Hospital around 4pm with an Intensive Care Flight Paramedic on-board.

The child has been airlifted to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Her mother travelled with her in the helicopter.

Bundaberg is one of four RACQ CareFlight Rescue bases servicing Queensland.
