Two motocross riders injured in separate incidents

Two motocross riders suffered broken femurs in separate incidents at a motocross event on Sunday afternoon.

The RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter was tasked to Killarney to airlift a 32 year old Coolum man who sustained head injuries and a broken right femur after falling from his motocross bike.

Whilst treating the first patient, a 15 year old male sustained a broken right femur in a fall at the same event.

The 32 year old was taken to the PA Hospital and the teenager was transported to the Mater Children’s Hospital. Both were in a stable condition.
