Teenager airlifted after rollover crash at Wonbah

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a 17 year old man following a single vehicle crash in the North Burnett region.

The Boolboonda man was travelling along Wonbah Road in Wonbah at around 8am when he lost control of his four-wheel-drive and veered off the road. The car rolled and came to rest driver’s side down in an embankment.

The teenager remained trapped for up to two hours while RACQ CareFlight crew and QFRS officers worked to free him from the wreckage.

He was treated at the scene by QAS paramedics and the helicopter’s intensive care flight paramedic for injuries to his left leg.

He was airlifted to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
