Man injures leg with chainsaw

The Bundaberg-based emergency helicopter, RACQ CareFlight Rescue, has flown to the aid a 27 year old man who injured his leg with a chainsaw.

The man was using the chainsaw to cut down trees at a friend’s property in Miriam Vale when it ricocheted and came into contact with his leg.

QAS paramedics responded to the incident and transported the man to the Miriam Vale showgrounds where RACQ CareFlight had landed.

The helicopter’s intensive care flight paramedic stabilised the man before he was flown to the Bundaberg Base Hospital.

He was in a stable condition.
