Man airlifted after crash with kangaroo

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a 51 year old man who was knocked from his motorbike by a kangaroo this morning.
 
The Mt Cotton man was riding on a sealed road around a farming area in Liston, NSW when the roo jumped onto the road  in front of him.
 
He crashed, fracturing his leg and suffering other minor injuries.
 
The Toowoomba helicopter based out of the Clive Berghoffer CareFlight Centre flew to the crash shortly after 10am.
 
The crew was able to land the RACQ CareFlight helicopter in a paddock less than a kilometre from the scene and the injured man was transferred to the chopper by a road ambulance.
 
He was airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
