Election night bash with a difference

Golfers who like a challenge will line up for a night time game at the Chinchilla Gold Club on September 7, the night of the Federal Election.

The inaugural ‘Elders Charity Comp’ will pit golfers with glow in the dark balls, with pitch black conditions, raising money for RACQ CareFlight in the process.

“We just needed a charity that the whole community knows and benefits from,” said organiser Elders Real Estate Principal Tess Bourke.

“I’m a passionate CareFlight supporter.”

The four ball, nine hole ambrose will tee off at 6.30pm and you’re advised to bring your own torch.

There’s a BBQ and a bar, and numerous prizes to win on the night.

“RACQ CareFlight is so humbled by the support of Elders and the Chinchilla community,” CareFlight Relationship Manager Suzie Washington.

“Every little bit helps, and it’s great the money goes back into the south west community.”

Anyone who wants to play needs to register by this Friday August 30.
