Cow injures man in 60s

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a man in his 60s injured by a cow at a cattle yard west of Miriam Vale.

The man was attempting to move cattle onto a truck when one of the cows became agitated and injured him, shortly before 2pm.

"It charged at a gate which swung around and came into contact with the man," RACQ CareFlight Aircrewman, Tony Preston said.

The Bundaberg-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the property where its intensive care flight paramedic treated the man for an injury to his pelvis.

He is currently being airlifted to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
