Coles donates helmets to CareFlight crew

Coles Dalby has generously raised $3,000 throughout December to help RACQ CareFlight Rescue purchase new Alpha Eagle Dual Visor Flight Helmets for its crew.

The helmets are valued at $2,000 each and three are needed to replace older helmets currently being worn by CareFlight’s dedicated crew members.

The supermarket chain plans on raising a further $3,000 in the coming months to ensure that CareFlight has a total of $6000 to buy the three necessary helmets for its busy Toowoomba service.

Staff from Coles will present the $3,000 cheque to CareFlight’s Suzie Washington at 2pm on Monday 21st January.

The Alpha Eagle Dual Visor Flight Helmet’s are worn by CareFlight’s crew on hundreds of rescue missions each year, offering maximum safety, comfort and sound protection in the aircraft.

CareFlight prides itself on providing its personnel with the best possible equipment to assist them in the challenging air medical environment, and appropriate helmets are a ‘must have’ for the service’s highly trained crew members.
