CareFlight attends scene of plane crash

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has flown to the scene a Tiger Moth plane crash on the east side of South Stradbroke Island, near Couran Cove, this afternoon.

Initial reports indicate two people were on board at the time of the crash and the light plane has sunk.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue crew has now flown to the Water Police station near the Port of Brisbane to pick up two divers and take them back to the scene.

Three police boats are currently in the water assisting with the retrieval.

More details will be made available when they come to hand.
