Car and truck collide in three-car smash at Millmerran

A husband and wife have been seriously injured in a three car smash after their 4WD collided with a truck at Millmerran this afternoon.

The couple's 4WD, towing a caravan, was travelling south on the Gore Highway when it struck the truck. The 4WD rolled several times, colliding with a third vehicle.

The driver of the 4WD, a man in his 60s, was airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter from Millmerran Hospital to Toowoomba Hospital suffering suspected neck and chest injuries. He travelled in a stable condition.

The woman, in her 50s, was transported to hospital by road ambulance.

The family dog, also in the car, was unharmed in the incident.
