Brisbane man injured in dirt bike crash

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a Brisbane man injured in a dirt bike crash near Gympie.

The man had been riding at Glen Echo Park, a dirt bike track in Gympie's northwest, when he lost control of his bike at a corner of the course. He came off and suffered injuries to his chest.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to the scene where its flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic stabilised the man.
