Teen falls down Kondalilla Falls

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has airlifted a 15 year old who fell down Kondalilla Falls.

The boy was jumping with mates at the Kondalilla swimming hole when he slipped and fell four metres on to rocks.

The helicopter winched its Intensive Care Flight Paramedic and Rescue Crewman down to the teen.

He was suffering head and shoulder injuries.

The boy was stabilised at the scene and stretcher winched up to the helicopter.

He was airlifted to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.

*This rescue mission was completed when the Sunshine Coast service operated as AGL Action Rescue prior to the July 1 2013 merger with CareFlight Group Queensland.
