Shocking train fall leaves man with severe injuries

At approximately 12am, the RACQ CareFlight helicopter was tasked to Murphy's Creek to airlift a 52 year old man who had fallen from a train.

Aircrewman Brad Shelton said the man suffered serious injuries.

"He has a severely injured left arm and all attempts are being made to save the limb," he said.

"He also suffered a head injury and upper body fractures.

"It is unknkown how he fell from the train.

"We airlifted him to the PA Hospital in Brisbane for urgent surgery, and he was in a stable condition throughout the flight," said Brad.
