Meet CareFlight crew at Toowoomba celebration day

Everyone is invited to come and celebrate the first anniversary of the CareFlight South West full-time service at the RACQ CareFlight South West Family Fun Day on Saturday 1st October 2011!

It will be a rare and unique chance to go inside CareFlight’s helicopter hangar, meet the crew first hand and see all the behind-the-scenes action.

CareFlight’s Community Relations Manager Suzie Washington said the free event will be a celebration of the service and a great way for people to meet the crew.

“Our crew love to meet our supporters and the community we serve, so we want everyone to come down to our hangar on Saturday 1st October,” she said.

“It will be a free family fun day and also a big celebration of the one year anniversary of our full-time South West rescue service.

“People can meet the CareFlight crew, enjoy free kids entertainment, face painting, a jumping castle and a thrilling helicopter demonstration which will happen at 10:30am.”

“We’ll have a former patient Kristie Wieland as guest speaker to tell us firsthand how CareFlight recued her and her newborn son during the floods.”

“There will also be a monster raffle and a sausage sizzle. It really will be an action-packed day and we hope everyone will join in,” she said.

The event will run from 10:00am-2:00pm at the CareFlight hangar on McDougall St, Toowoomba Airport.
