Roll out of unique road safety campaign
A 25-metre iOR Petroleum B-Double fuel tanker has become a travelling road safety billboard thanks to a unique partnership with iOR Petroleum and LifeFlight
Corporate Partners and long-time supporters, iOR Petroleum have continued to give back to their community with the announcement of a joint road-safety campaign last December.
The unique safety message was delivered on the side of a 25-metre iOR B-Double fuel tanker and will act as a moving billboard travelling the state. The initiative will help iOR raise awareness of LifeFlight’s service and encourage drivers to stay safe on our roads.
Police Minister, Mark Ryan and local emergency services crews helped iOR Petroleum and LifeFlight make the compelling announcement at a Toowoomba Airport media launch in the lead-up to the Christmas weekend.
LifeFlight and iOR have a strong interest in road safety, with iOR fuel tankers driving across the country each and every day and RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical crews attending a high proportion of motor vehicle accidents.
iOR Managing Director Stewart Morland welcomed the exciting initiative, which he said will help keep safety front-of-mind over the holidays.
“Our trucks and drivers travel ten million kilometers on Australian roads every year, so road safety is critical to us,” Mr Morland said.
The tanker will drive between Brisbane and Roma daily, encouraging locals to drive safe on our roads.
